Karun Chandhok in GP2 Durango team

The first test of 2007 at Paul Ricard in France confirmed Durango's continuing progress. Borja Garcia and Karun Chandhok were competitive in all weather and track conditions, with both new and used tyres.

The Spaniard Garcia finished the test in 6th position and showed the abilities of a highly competitive driver.

The Indian Chandhok, who was racing for the first time for Durango, finished in 8th position. He proved himself to be a very fast driver with great technical ability, a true revelation for the team.

The staff at Durango is satisfied with the work carried out during the tests and is optimistic about the new season.

There are two items to report from these two days. First, the enginneer Nick Wasyliw has joined the Durango team and has already established a sound relationship with everybody and second, the GP2 car displayed its new aerodynamic.

       With the strong performance, which was the first outing with Durango ,Karun is in a very good position to get a GP2 race drive.

It seems only  Durango and Racing Engineering have vacant seats, with Karun Chandhok and Franck Perera aiming to impress their potential suitors.
